Just working towards getting all those washing/ironing/cleaning things done before my housesitter, Michelle, arrives on Sunday evening. I had the unfortunate experience of having my previously arranged housesitters cancel at short notice; they're from Canada, housesitting in Queensland in January and too scared to head down south because of the disastrous fires. Michelle was very quick to respond to my new ad and she will be great.

After a long, frustrating battle with the unco-operative Cunard website, I was finally able to get our tickets and luggage tags emailed to me by ringing Cunard. It's not a good first impression, after Holland America's efficient procedures, but hopefully this will be the only glitch.

We will be boarding last on Monday because we're on Main Deck, the lowest deck. Check-in is listed at 4.00pm but we're going to be there earlier than that and will just sit and wait till we can board.

It's been a long time coming but it's getting close now!
